By accessing or using impostr.io ("the Game"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Game. The Game is a multiplayer social deduction game that can be played through web browsers and as a Discord Activity.

2. Description of Service

impostr.io is a free-to-play social deduction party game where players give clues about a secret word while trying to identify the "imposter" who doesn't know the word. The Game features real-time multiplayer gameplay, chat functionality during voting phases, and customizable avatar characters.

3. User Accounts and Registration

To play the Game, you may:

• Create a username (up to 8 characters) and customize your avatar
• Connect via Discord when playing as a Discord Activity

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your session and for all activities that occur during your gameplay session.

4. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Use offensive, inappropriate, or discriminatory usernames
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other players through chat or clues
• Cheat, exploit bugs, or use automated tools to gain unfair advantages
• Attempt to disrupt the Game's servers or other players' connections
• Share inappropriate content through in-game chat or clues
• Impersonate other players or staff members

5. Intellectual Property

All content, graphics, user interface, and code of impostr.io are owned by the Game's developers and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.

6. Discord Integration

When playing as a Discord Activity, the Game integrates with Discord's platform. Your use of Discord features is also subject to Discord's Terms of Service. We access limited Discord profile information (username, avatar) to enhance your gameplay experience.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Game is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Game at any time without notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Game's developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Game.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Game at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
